AGR announces Sebring lineup

UPDATE A reader asks, Dear AutoRacing1.com, I thought Danica Patrick was going to drive for the team at Sebring, she even tested. Doug Purdy

Dear Doug, Reports are that at the ALMS Winter Testing at Sebring in late January she was 2-3 seconds slower per lap than Bryan Herta and Dario Franchitti. Road racing isn't 100% throttle no talent required oval racing. If you can't drive it shows up real fast on the stopwatch on a road course. And if you think Danica is slow, just wait until you see Milka Duno in action if she lands the rumored Cahill ride. When she tested a Champ Car she was so slow she wasn't invited back. At least Sarah Fisher recognizes her deficiencies and will only run the ovals in the IndyCars this year. Much credit, however, goes to Katherine Legge, who has shown she can be fairly competitive with the 'men.' And before we are accused of being 'chauvinistic' let us point out that in most sports women have their own league, but 100% throttle oval racing is so easy the women can compete together with the men because it does not take much physical strength. 02/20/07 Bryan Herta, Tony Kanaan and Dario Franchitti will drive the XM Radio sponsored Andretti Green Acura entry in the 12 Hours of Sebring it was announced today.
