Andretti rules out F1
Marco Andretti tells Autosport.com that F1 will have to wait at least two years and that he will stay in the IRL and try to win the Indy 500.
"Right now I'm just thinking totally I know where I am the next couple years and I'm completely content," Andretti said. "I think I'd be cheating myself and the team even if one percent my mind would wander (and I thought) 'Maybe I should be doing this. I'm not going to be able to achieve my goals."
"I wouldn't count it out after that," he said when asked if he was planning a future in F1. Everything has to be right, the right circumstances and everything like that. But I can't thank Honda enough. If they need help in the future, I'll go over and drive the cars. I had a lot of fun. But I know where I am the next couple years."
