New sponsorship for Skip Barber
Skip Barber Racing School, LLC, announced today new title and presenting sponsors for its National race series, the 14-race professional championship that serves as a primary steppingstone for young drivers advancing to the highest ranks of the sport. The series is now known as the BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda. As title sponsor of the National, BFGoodrich® tires will be used exclusively at all race weekends. BFGoodrich Tires decals will adorn the Skip Barber Formula 2000 race car, while National competitors and Skip Barber crew members will sport the BFGoodrich Tires logo on their uniforms. “We are thrilled to be associated with the Skip Barber National and committed to developing the next generation of champions," said Kaz Holley, brand director for BFGoodrich Tires. “BFGoodrich Tires are known for performance and our g-Force Sport tires are the perfect way to showcase our passion for racing excellence by supporting drivers who want to succeed." New presenting sponsor Mazda recently entered into a long-term partnership agreement with Skip Barber that will deliver a broad range of programs designed to further define and strengthen the U.S. motorsports “ladder" on which drivers gain experience on their way to the top ranks of professional racing. “The Skip Barber National is a very important rung in the Mazda driver development ladder," said Robert Davis, senior vice president, product development and quality, and the man responsible for Mazda’s North American Motorsports operations under the MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development banner. “Our partnership with Skip Barber is growing on many different levels, and we look forward to other great initiatives that will benefit racers across the country."
