NASCAR and Home Depot extend deal
NASCAR has extended its sponsorship deal with home improvement giant Home Depot. The brand, currently the ‘official home improvement warehouse’ of the motorsport series, has now also become exclusive retail partner of NASCAR Day – an annual, charitable event, to be held on May 18.
In support of the initiative, the company will run a special NASCAR Day-themed paint scheme on the No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet driven by two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion Tony Stewart as he competes in the April 15 race at Texas Motor Speedway and exclusively sell NASCAR Day pins across the US.
Said Roger Adams, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of the Home Depot: “Through the sponsorship we're able to strengthen our relationship with NASCAR and the entire NASCAR community."
