NASCAR Atlanta TV Rating

UPDATE The final rating for last weekend's NASCAR race from Atlanta on FOX was a 5.2/12 share, down 5.5% from 2005 – the last time the race was on FOX. In 2006 the race was rained delayed to Monday and shown on cable channel FX.

03/19/07 The overnight TV rating on FOX for Sunday's Atlanta Kobalt 500 was a 4.7/10 Share. Last year's race was rain delayed until Monday and shown on cable channel FX so there is no way to compare. However, the overnight rating in 2004 was 5.3 and 4.9 in 2005, both on FOX. Therefore, NASCAR's drop in popularity continues unabated accentuated by the massive number of empty grandstand seats on a beautiful sunny day in Atlanta Sunday.
