Nurburgring to name corner after Schumacher
The quick left hand curve after 'Dunlop', which leads into the equally quick turn ten right, will in the future be known as the 'Schumacher S', a spokesman for the venue located in the Eifel mountains confirmed.
"That is correct," Nurburgring managing director Walter Kafitz told the Cologne newspaper Express.
He added: "Michael is coming to the grand prix in July and we will unveil the 'Schumacher S' then."
The 38-year-old seven time world champion, who will do a lap of honor before the race this season, first won at the circuit in 1995, and subsequently in 2000, 2001, 2004 and 2006.
This year, the Nurburgring is the venue for the German grand prix, after a deal was struck with Hockenheim to annually alternate the race.
