EMCO Gears returns to sponsor Rolex race

EMCO Gears, Inc. which has served as title sponsor of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve event since 2004, today announced that it is renewing its commitment to the Rolex Series event at Mid-Ohio for another three years.

The 2007 EMCO Gears Classic will be Round 7 of a 14-race schedule for the Rolex Series Daytona Prototype class and Round 8 of a 13-race slate for the Rolex Series GT class. The split-class event will see Daytona Prototypes do battle on Saturday, June 23 followed by the GT race on Sunday, June 24, with both events to be televised on SPEED.

"The split format allows EMCO Gears to be part of providing two great days of exciting racing from the splendid venue of Mid-Ohio," said EMCO Director of Racing Dan L. Cota.
