A true testament of speed and technology

LOVELAND, Colorado – RSPORTS and its driver Justin Wilson are proud to honor CDW’s new Western Distribution Center’s true testament to speed and technology this weekend at the Las Vegas Grand Prix by placing a little part of their pride on the #9 CDW Champ Car.

As part of a team building exercise, the coworkers at CDW’s new Western Distribution Center decided they wanted a logo – a personality for the distribution center as the building itself was plain and lacked character. They went to work and soon came up with an alligator…thinking he was tough and sustainable, just like them, working hard to meet their goals and overcoming challenges. The guys back at corporate said, “Well, we like your creativity; however, you are in the middle of the desert and alligators are known to be rather sluggish and slow."

After a good chuckle, the coworkers went back to work and this time, came up with a race car. They said to corporate, “Given our new race car sponsorship and because we are known to be fast here at the Western Distribution Center – and especially given our aligned focus on technology, this is perfect."

They wrote on the decal, “Just in Time" because that is exactly how they like their packages to arrive…not knowing that Justin Wilson was their new driver’s name!

Corporate thought it was fantastic – it was about speed and performance. The slogan/name coincidence then sealed the deal. It would later be changed to “Justin Time" on the decal.

It is said that when Justin Wilson visited the distribution center, he looked up at the logo, and he blushed because he was truly touched.

“I was completely taken by surprised when I walked into CDW’s WesternDistributionCenter," said Wilson. “It is an honor that the people working at this location look to me as a model for speed and performance. I hope that we can give them something to cheer about this weekend in the Las Vegas Grand Prix with a solid performance and hopefully a win. The backing that I have received from everyone there is amazing, which motivates me even more to have a great result this weekend!"

As a tribute to the coworkers at the new WesternDistributionCenter, the No. 9 CDW Cosworth/DP01/Bridgstone Champ Car driven by Wilson will wear the “Justin Time" logo as he races for the 2007 Vanderbilt Cup in this weekend Las Vegas Grand Prix!

CDW has opened its doors in Las Vegas, inviting media to their newly opened WesternDistributionCenter – ten minutes from the Las Vegas Street Circuit, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the CDW/RSPORTS powerhouse. CDW driver Justin Wilson, along with RSPORTS co-owner Dan Pettit, and team representative Jeremy Dale will be available for interviews during the tour on Thursday, April 5, from 2 to 4 p.m.

RSPORTS is excited to kick off the 2007 Champ Car World Series season on the streets in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 6-8. Las Vegas is the first event of 16 Champ Car races held throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, China and Australia.
