Briscoe entered in Indy 500 with new team

Luczo-Dragon Racing, LLC announced today that IndyCar Series veteran Ryan Briscoe will attempt to qualify the #12 Symantec Dallara Honda for the 2007 Indianapolis 500-mile race. The team will lease equipment from Penske Racing, Inc., winners of 14 Indianapolis 500-mile races. "Luczo-Dragon Racing is very excited to partner with Symantec Corporation to provide Ryan with the opportunity to compete in the most important and memorable race in the world," said Jay Penske, Co-Owner, Luczo-Dragon Racing, LLC. "I look forward to my first year as a team owner, and knowing what a unique opportunity it will be to participate in the Indianapolis 500," said Steve Luczo, Co-Owner of Luczo-Dragon Racing, LLC. "Jay and I have been great friends, share a competitive resolve to win, and that, combined with the support of the Penske organization, we believe will enable us to field a highly competitive entry for this years Indy 500." Briscoe, a former Formula 1 test driver and current driver in the American Le Mans Series, competed in the 2005 Indianapolis 500 where he started 24th and finished 10th. "I want to thank Symantec and Luczo-Dragon Racing for the opportunity to return to the greatest spectacle in racing," said Briscoe. "My experience at the Speedway provides me with a lot of confidence as I head into my second month of May at Indianapolis. I am looking forward to the chance to build on what I experienced as a rookie." Luczo-Dragon Racing has also named Jay Signore, President of International Race of Champions, as the Team Manager.
