Coulthard tries rally car in Ireland
(GMM) F1 veteran David Coulthard recently tried the controls of a rally car.
The Red Bull driver was a guest of Ireland's rally tarmac champion Eugene Donnelly, and according to the Belfast Telegraph he advised the new Reid team "on all aspects of team building as well as diet, training and the mental approach to competitive driving".
Coulthard, 36, also drove Donnelly's Subaru Impreza, ahead of the Donegal International Rally, held in the northwest of Ireland.
"Although F1 is very different to rallying I was interested in his observations on my driving style," Donnelly said of the thirteen time grand prix winner.
"Also his knowledge of working in a team, and improving team co-ordination, was very useful for us."
