Wheldon describes Danica as a dog

Four days after their very public pit-road confrontation at Milwaukee, Danica Patrick and Dan Wheldon were asked today to make up and play nice.

The half-hour meeting at Texas Motor Speedway was called by the chief steward of the IndyCar Series. It seemed to go a long way to resolving the public spat that was growing uglier by the day.

Wheldon had called Patrick “a spoiled brat" and described her grabbing of him as “a dog that wanted to bite my ankles."

Patrick not only sought an apology from Wheldon and a penalty from the Indy Racing League, she thought the 2005 Indianapolis 500 winner acted cowardly in trying to walk away from her. Indy Star
