Speed accuses Webber of ‘brake testing’

(GMM) Scott Speed on Friday accused his fellow Red Bull stable-mate Mark Webber of "brake testing" him during free practice for the Canadian grand prix.

The two cars actually made contact at the end of the afternoon session, and Toro Rosso's Speed suggested that Webber had initiated the clash.

"For some reason I don't understand, Mark did the most strange thing I have seen since I've been in formula one," said the Californian, who damaged his wing when he ran into the back of Australian Webber's Red Bull.

It is believed that Webber was unhappy with Speed's driving style on the slow 'in lap'.

Speed explained: "I haven't been brake tested like that since my karting days. I'll be interested to see what Mark has to say about that!"

Webber made no specific mention of the coming-together in Red Bull Racing's Friday press release, other than to refer to a "few incidents" on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
