Polesitter Sebastien Bourdais made a slight error in the second corner chicane on a wet track and the Audi of Capello dove underneath to take the early lead at LeMans. Bourdais went off course and slotted into 4th place but by the third lap had worked his way back up to 2nd. Meanwhile the Capello Audi is pulling away to an early lead and the strategy appears to be this one Audi will play the hare in the hopes of breaking the two Peugeots. It's currently Audi-Peugeot-Audi-Peugeot-Audi in the top 5.
