Sanders dies after Mondello crash

A motorcycle racer has died following a crash on the first lap of Sunday's Supersport race at the British Championship meeting at Mondello Park. Guy Sanders, a former R6 Cup winner, sustained head and chest injuries after falling from his machine and then being struck by other riders. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin but died from his injuries. Steven Neate, who suffered a minor head injury and fractures in the same incident, remains in hospital.
