ESPN continues to ignore Champ Car
A reader asks, While watching the Angles / Tigers game last night, ESPN's bottom line in the auto read:
Jonathan Bomarito wins San Jose' Champ Car Grand Prix. Raphael Matos clinches championship.
Do you think they can at least get the drivers in the correct series? No mention at all of Doornbos, Jani, or Servia. Not even the headliner race. Who's running the show there? Joe Stalker

Dear Joe, ESPN and ABC only care about NASCAR. They have to ensure the TV ratings are high for NASCAR because they have a huge financial obligation to NASCAR. Meanwhile Champ Car pays ESPN and ABC to air their races and they use that money to pay NASCAR (and the IRL) and none of it goes toward promoting Champ Car as you see almost zero promotion of Champ Car on ESPN like originally promised.
