Prendeville tests RLR IndyCar

Andrew Prendeville of Morristown, N.J. achieved a personal goal Thursday at Infineon Raceway here when the RLR/Andersen Racing Indy Pro Series driver participated in his first IndyCar test session, running laps in the Rahal Letterman Racing No. 8 Patron Dallara/Honda/Firestone Indy Car of Scott Sharp.

"I didn't run many laps, but it was more than I had ever done before!" said Prendeville. "I've been working toward today for the last 21 years and it was great to get in the Rahal Letterman Indy Car and turn some laps."

Prendeville also tested his Best Friends Animal Society No. 5 Indy Pro Series car that he'll drive in two races at Infineon this Saturday and Sunday prior to Sunday's Motorola Indy 300 IndyCar race.

"It was weird to be jumping between cars, but I had a lot of fun," Prendeville said. "I look forward to getting another shot in an Indy Car in the future."

Andersen Racing, based in Fairfield, N.J., is the official Indy Pro Series development team of Rahal Letterman Racing, Hilliard, Ohio.
