Intersport Racing Switches to Lola B06/10 AER
Starting at the 10th anniversary Petit Le Mans, Intersport Racing will be campaign a new car in the LMP1 class of the American Le Mans Series. After struggling all season long with the Creation CA06 H, the Dublin, Ohio-based team has taken delivery of an ex-Dyson Lola B06/10 AER.
Originally slated to be run in the hands of Velocity Motorsports, Jon and Clint Field and Richard Berry will pilot the AER-powered car in the 1000-mile Petit Le Mans event on October 4-6. Intersport plans to shakedown the car in a test at Road Atlanta one week prior to the race.
The team is no strangers to Lola machinery, having campaigned a B05/40 in the LMP2 class in 2005 and 2006 and a B2K/40 before then.
A possible switch to Judd power is an option for the future. However, it will stay AER powered for at least the first race.
