Albuquerque to replace Zaugg in Valencia

Portuguese driver Filipe Albuquerque will replace Arden’s South African driver Adrian Zaugg for the GP2 Season finale weekend in Valencia on 29th September. Albuquerque has been chosen to replace fellow Red Bull driver Zaugg due to his commitments with A1 Team South Africa, the A1Grand Prix at Zandvoort clashing with the GP2 weekend in Valencia.

Albuquerque currently races in World Series by Renault and is currently 4th in the Drivers Championship having won in Hungary recently. He also substituted Ernesto Viso (Racing Engineering) at Silverstone GP Race following Viso’s accident in Magny Cours.

Filipe Albuquerque: I want to thank Red Bull and Arden Motorsport for the opportunity. This will be my second time in a GP2 car and I know the track so I'm very excited to get a good result, although I know that will be hard.

Adrian Zaugg: I would like to thank the team for the great experience and a valuable first season in the GP2 car. I have chosen the A1 Grand Prix path and to represent South Africa once again is a great opportunity.
