Champ Car report card feedback
The opportunity to host the Grand Prix at a world-class sports and entertainment facility like Reliant Park provides tremendous advantages which far outweigh any possible aesthetic shortcomings. Reliant Park offers built-in infrastructure such as an abundance of parking lots, two air-conditioned buildings (Reliant Arena and Reliant Stadium), and in-house services including catering, staffing, and security. The location also enables us to put on the event without contending with public street closures, local business interruptions, and costly street improvements that can be detrimental to a temporary street circuit.
Houstonians have embraced the opportunity to watch world-class racing around Reliant Stadium and the famous Reliant Astrodome and we’re looking forward to a great future at JAGFlo Speedway at Reliant Park. We are also planning to grow with the facility, as plans are currently being developed that would transform the Astrodome into a multi-attraction luxury destination hotel. The anticipation of this $500 million development was a major factor in our decision to select Reliant Park for the race. The new construction would significantly improve our racetrack while adding the ambience to the entire setting making it unique and appealing. And the good news is that the developer has guaranteed no interruption in our race.
Sincerely,
Chuck M. Kosich

If Champ Car is going more global as you say, they will need someone with his track record and experience at the helm. You won't see races being cancelled under his watch. This alone has severely hurt Champ Car's reputation. Bring him on! Dave West
