Bad weather delays Fuji practice

(GMM) The final pre-qualifying practice session at Fuji Speedway has been reduced by at least half an hour due to bad weather.

After the formula one fraternity arrived to a sodden paddock and fog on Saturday morning, the 60-minute session at 11am (local) was initially delayed by race control for fifteen minutes because it was unsafe for the medical helicopter to fly.

Race control then extended the delay for a further quarter-hour when visibility had not improved by 11.15.

The session is now due to start at 11.30, meaning that practice will only take place for half of the originally scheduled hour.
