Swimming in Sydney

Jennifer Figge, Champ Car rookie driver Alex Figge’s mother is a long-distance ocean swimmer. Earlier this summer she swam from Elbow Cay to Miami. Today, she swam the heads of the Sydney harbor. While the Sydney swim is not necessarily a long swim for Jennifer (seven miles), it is an invigorating challenge as the area is known for currents and Great White Sharks! It is rare for people to make this swim and had to be approved by the Sydney Harbor.
