2008 season already underway

Preparations for the 2008 season start pretty much right away, even if there is no on track testing until the middle of next month, as Formula One is a sport that never stands still. However, the real fact of the matter over at Red Bull Racing is that work on next year’s cars has been well underway for several months now, just as in other teams, but now comes the time to fine tune and put on the finishing touches.

If this seems like a bit of rush, consider the fact that there are only 145 days to go until the start of Friday free practice at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne Australia, the opening round of the 2008 Formula 1 World Championship and Mark Webber’s home race.

Red Bull Racing can tackle the coming winter months in the knowledge that fifth place is the best finish the team, in any of its three guises based in Milton Keynes has ever achieved, and even though they inherited one place with the disqualification from McLaren, sixth is still one better than they have ever done before.

It’s not where they really wish to be of course and the big push will start almost immediately when F1 testing resumes at the Barcelona circuit from the 13th to 15th November. Red Bull PR
