AXTEL and David Martinez join forces

David Martinez announced today at a press conference held in Mexico City that AXTEL, a leading Mexican telecommunications company, will be an official sponsor of his Forsythe Racing’s #7 Champ Car at the Gran Premio Tecate, the final round of the 2007 Champ Car World Series.

The Mexican driver will carry the AXTEL brand in his car, firesuit, helmet and hats in what will be his third Champ Car start, and second in 2007. After sitting on the sidelines for almost a year, Martinez returned to the track with the Forsythe Team only a few weeks ago at the tricky Surfers Paradise, Australia street circuit where he finished in the tenth position.

Martinez returns to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez this weekend where he made his Champ Car debut last year qualifying and finishing ninth.
