Au Revoir Sebastien
Bourdais' last Champ Car race car livery for Mexico City |
Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing has created a commemorative "Au Revoir Sebastien" livery for the Gran Premio Tecate Presented by Banamex Champ Car season finale this weekend in Mexico City, Mexico.
The design scheme on the No. 1 McDonald's Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone race car has four Vanderbilt Cup decals on the nose and Champ Car-designed "Win" and "Pole" decals run along each side of the car in the order they were earned beginning with his first pole in St. Petersburg, Fla. in his Champ Car debut in 2003 and his first win in Brands Hatch, England, Round 4 of 18 in 2003. Since his debut in 2003, he has earned 30 wins and 31 poles in 72 starts.
The regular practice is that decals for the current season be displayed but this car shows all of the wins and poles during his Champ Car career. The design was suggested by the McDonald's crew, led by Chief Mechanic Pedro Campuzano. NHLR PR
