Phoenix race sold out

Phoenix International Raceway is sold out for the Checker Auto Parts 500 on Sunday. All grandstand seats are sold, with only general admission mountainside viewing still available. PIR has 76,000 seats. It will mark the third race in the Chase For the Nextel Cup that was sold out. Events at New Hampshire International Speedway and Kansas Speedway also were sold out.
