Sunday has dawned bright and beautiful here in Mexico City on a perfect day for racing. ………The Champ Cars will be back on the 2.774-mile Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course this morning at 10 a.m. (EST) for a half-hour warm-up session. The green flag will drop at 2 p.m. (EST) for the Tecate Champ Car Grand Prix on Sunday and can be seen live on ESPN2 starting at 2 p.m. (EST). The standing start rule will be in effect to officially begin the sixth running of the Gran Premio Tecate Presented by Banamex in Mexico City, Mexico. When drivers push the P2P button today they will have an additional 100 horsepower to enhance their ability to pass other cars, as well as additional 15 seconds of use (75 seconds total)……..Conquest Racing won the Sherwin

Williams ‘It’s All in the Finish" Color and Design Award. The brilliant pearl blue, white and metallic silver Juniper Soul / Opes Prime car sparkled in the Mexican sun and along with Nelson Philippe, pilot of the #34 car, wowed the local Planet Color judges. The judges evaluated the paint scheme on the field of Champ Car DP01s to find which car had the best color, design, gloss and overall appearance. Along with the Color and Design Award recognition, Conquest Racing earns a $20,000 cash prize. “We are delighted to have won the Sherwin Williams ‘It's All in the Finish’ Color and Design Award this weekend," said Eric Bachelart, Conquest Racing Team Owner. “We made a very strong effort to come up with a good presentation and we are grateful for the support and incentives Sherwin Williams have provided all of the teams to enhance the Champ Car experience.
