Schumacher shows he has lost none of his speed

Schu is still the greatest

Retired seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher showed the "youngsters" he's still the greatest by topping the times on the first day of testing at the Barcelona circuit Tuesday. The German driver posted a best time of 1:21:922 in Ferrari's F2007.

As the cars took to the track at the Catalunya circuit, Formula 1 itself stepped back in time to the days before electronic driver aids ruled the world. In common with most teams, the main item on the program was the new common ECU (all teams must use the same electronic control unit.) Everyone was running the same Bridgestone tire, the hard one that had been available for the Spanish GP, held here earlier in the year.
