Wood wins truck pole in Homestead

Jon Wood, driver of the No. 21 CarRacing.com Ford F-150 will lead the field for Friday night's Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Wood set a new track qualifying record of 31.18 seconds (173.199 mph). This is Wood's third pole position in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career.

"I only ran one and it didn't really feel all that fast. That's what is so astonishing (Was it computer generated? After all Ford is the sponsor.). We had an awesome draw and going out last was a huge plus. It's just optimum conditions. We had a good truck and a good draw and that's just the way it works out," said Jon Wood.
