Kovalainen and Loeb to swap seats

Heikki Kovalainen and Sébastien Loeb will swap horses for a day. On 5th December, this summit meeting will be held for the press at the Paul Ricard circuit.

Sébastien Loeb

Sébastien Loeb needs no introduction. This year he is well on the way to clinching his fourth rally world championship title, and he also drove in the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2006, which he adored. This time on the initiative of our partner Total-Elf he’s going to be able to test an F1 car. And not just any old car as it’s the R26, winner of the world championship. During the day his team-mate Dani Sordo will also get the opportunity to taste the sensations generated by an F1 single-seater.

Total-Elf wanted to add a bit of spice to the proceedings and have set Heikki Kovalainen a challenge. The young Finn will have the opportunity to climb into the Frenchman’s C4 to see if he has inherited his father’s rally genes – the latter was a rally driver in Finland. To say that Heikki is delighted would be an understatement!

Preparations are going full steam ahead. Dani Sordo and Sébastien Loeb came to Enstone for a seat fitting on 7th and 8th November. They were given a warm welcome by the Roadshow team that’s in charge of this event. The two Citroën drivers received their first explanations concerning the procedures to follow as well as getting settled in the car and getting to know the team. They are champing at the bit to see what it’ll give out on the track.
