McLaren will notice Alonso absence – Massa
(GMM) McLaren will notice the absence of Fernando Alonso in 2008, Felipe Massa has warned.
The Ferrari driver told the Spanish television network TV3: "He has done Ferrari a great favor by leaving McLaren.
"The loss will be very significant to them (McLaren) because he is a great driver. They will notice it," Massa added.
Despite the collaboration netting four victories in 2007, Spaniard Alonso, 26, and McLaren terminated their contract at the end of a tumultuous season.
Brazilian Massa, also 26, did not want to speculate about what team his rival might race with next year.
"I don't want to comment," he said. "He will go where he goes, and I hope it is the best for him. It's not something I really have to worry about — I am focused on my job."
