Wallace to drive Germain’s No. 7 Nationwide entry
Germain Racing officials announced Monday that Mike Wallace will drive the team's No. 7 Nationwide Series Toyota in 2008, with sponsorship from GEICO. Wallace and GEICO move from Phoenix Racing, which fielded the No. 7 Chevy for Wallace this season. Wallace finished 11th in the Busch Series points standings in 2007.
Germain Racing General Manager Mike Hillman said Bruce Cook would serve as Wallace's crew chief. Germain also fields Toyota Tundras in the Craftsman Truck Series, winning the series title in 2006 with driver Todd Bodine.
"I've raced with Mike Hillman in the past, and we have a mutual respect for one another," Wallace said. "We are both no nonsense, hard-nosed racers, and we understand and respect one another."
