Tester Chandhok won’t attend Red Bull launch

(GMM) Comments by Karun Chandhok are likely to temper speculation that the Indian GP2 driver is first in line to become Red Bull's official test driver in 2008.

The 23-year-old Indian on Wednesday revealed that he will not be present for the official presentation of the team's RB4 single seater at Jerez on 16 January.

"Red Bull is having a low key launch for the car at the test and I will also be tied up with the GP2 Asia series and the pre-season testing for the European championship," Chandhok is quoted as saying by the Indian Times.

He recently made his formula one testing debut with Red Bull at Barcelona, and it is expected that he will also be given opportunities to test for countryman Vijay Mallya's Force India team some time in 2008.
