AMS Offers $88 Ticket in Earnhardt Grandstand

Dale Earnhardt Jr. fans will have another reason to get excited about the upcoming NASCAR season and the March 9 Kobalt Tools 500 Sprint Cup race as Atlanta Motor Speedway today introduced an $88 ticket special in the frontstretch Earnhardt Grandstand. There will be a limited number of the $88 tickets available which go on sale today at 9 a.m. through the AMS ticket office and at area Ticketmaster outlets.

The Kobalt Tools 500 will help usher in a new era in motorsports when Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes his first competition laps in the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Fans who take advantage of the ticket special are encouraged to don their No.88 gear in support of Earnhardt Jr. as they sit in the grandstand named after his father, the winningest driver in AMS history.

“We always look forward to Atlanta, it is the best track we race at," Earnhardt Jr. said. "It's bad-fast, fun to drive, and we seem to find ourselves near the front most of the time. We've been in the top-five in almost half of our races at AMS.

“Whether I am first or 20th, I’m having fun. I wish they would build a lot more of ‘em like this. It is always fun."

Part of a NASCAR triple-header weekend, the Kobalt Tools 500 Sprint Cup race will be run in conjunction with Friday night, March 7 Georgia Power NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying, immediately followed by the American Commercial Lines 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. The Nicorette 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race will take the green flag on Saturday, March 8.
