Toyota U.S. sales dropped slightly in Dec.

Toyota Motor Corp's U.S. sales fell 1.7% in December to 224,399 vehicles, a slight dip that left the automaker up 3.1% for the full year to 2,620,825.

The annual increase marked the 12th straight year of record U.S. sales for Toyota.

The Camry, the best-selling car in the United States, fell slightly for the month but was up 5.5% on the year at 448,445.

The Tundra finished the year at 196,555, up 57.9%. Toyota launched in February a redesigned Tundra that represented its first full-size truck.

The Toyota Sienna minivan, Sequoia and 4Runner were all down for the month and year by 15% or more.
