Ferrari F2008 launch preview
Ferrari let the covers slip on a part of its 2008 challenger by releasing a teaser image of the car ahead of the world champion team's season launch at Maranello on Sunday |
Ferrari has given the racing world a sneak-preview of its 2008 car, ahead of the official unveiling in Italy on Sunday.
The Maranello based team, to be the first formula one team to launch its new car, released a 'teaser' press photo, showing only the scarlet single seater's airbox wing and world championship decal.
About 100 members of the media and guests have been invited to the albeit low-key Ferrari launch at the team's headquarters, and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that while Michael Schumacher will be present, bosses Jean Todt and Luca di Montezemolo are expected to stay unseen.
At the forefront, rather, will be Ferrari's new team principal Stefano Domenicali, as well as Kimi Raikkonen and the Finn's continuing teammate, Felipe Massa.
The car will be unveiled at 3pm, preceding a press conference.
