Tickets on sale for MotoGP race at Mugello
The last few Italian GPs have been a success both in terms of the crowds who attended and the spectacle on offer, thus confirming the worth of all the changes introduced over the past couple of years. These have included a camping-only area within the circuit, external parking free of charge, facilities for children, FMI members and the military, as well as giant screens around the track. These initiatives are prompted by the desire to make the experience, at this event that is unique in its field, as enjoyable as possible for the spectators at the circuit. With this spirit in mind, another new rule has been introduced, banning access within the circuit for two wheelers under 100 cc.
FACILITIES FOR CHILDREN, FMI MEMBERS AND THE MILITARY
Entry to the general admission area is free for all those born after 1st January 1995 (as long as they are accompanied by an adult who has bought a regular ticket,) while those born after 1st January 1992 can get a "discount" ticket for the general admission area on production of accepted ID.
Tickets are also available at discount prices to the general admission area for members of the Italian Motorcycle Federation and the military. In both these cases, the necessary documentation must be shown at the circuit entrance.
ONLY CAMPERS INSIDE THE CIRCUIT
Access inside the circuit is restricted to registered campers bearing the "Ingresso Camper" sticker available from advanced sales, as well as on-line and at the circuit entrance, according to availability. However, vans, cars and various other vehicles that are not campers will not be granted admission, even with the sticker. Motorcycles will be allowed, but only those of over 100 cc.
FREE PARKING OUTSIDE
So that everyone can enjoy a hassle free Grand Prix, in conjunction with the Scarperia authorities, large areas will be set aside around the circuit to provide temporary free parking to spectators, from Thursday onwards for the entire duration of the meeting. This means that the inside of the circuit is a place to spend all day in a pleasant environment, where it is easier to socialize, and to find all the usual services and facilities. A place not just to stay, but to stay in comfort.
GRANDSTANDS AND GIANT SCREENS – 20,000 seats and 9 video walls
There will be four grandstands, one covered, overlooking the main straight, with a capacity of around 5000; three open at the following corners: Correntaio (3000,) Materassi (8000) and Poggio Secco (4000.) There will be nine giant screens, apart from opposite the various grandstands, at key points around the circuit. The general admission area near the Casanova-Savelli and Palagio-Correntaio corners will be remodeled to improve the view for spectators.
IMPROVED WELLBEING
In the interests of all spectators, security services and lighting systems on site will be improved. For the same reasons, it is forbidden to bring into the circuit any equipment capable of producing noise levels higher than the legal limit, as well as any temporary and bulky equipment aimed at building temporary grandstands.
WHEN TO COME TO THE CIRCUIT
Access to the inside of the circuit is permitted as from 00.00 on the first day for which the ticket is valid. For example, if one has a two day ticket valid for the 31st May and 1st June, entrance will be possible only after 00.00 on 31st May.
FINALLY
In conclusion, all elements are in place to ensure that the Alice Italian Grand Prix will be an extraordinary event. As always, the atmosphere on the Tuscan hills is a unique experience in the world of Grand Prix and the circuit, an amphitheatre for the Third Millenium, with its natural vantage points, offers an evocative and exciting view, which is without parallel.
