Yates puts want ad for sponsors

The rear bumper of the Nos. 38 and 28 cars at Daytona International Speedway say all you need to know about the ongoing sponsorship search at Yates Racing.

But team owner Doug Yates said he's dedicated to running two cars in the Sprint Cup series this season even if it means going without sponsorship that is vital to the cash flow necessary to run all teams.

"We're committed to running this team," Yates said on Tuesday, the second day of testing at DIR. "Obviously, you have to see how the year plays out. But right now our intention is to run two cars and be competitive and show people we can do a good job for them.

"You have to have cash flow to run the business. We're in the business of racing cars. We need some sponsorship and we intend to find them," he said.
