Frye named GM of Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing officials have announced that Jay Frye has been named general manager of the team and will start in the role Monday. Frye, the former CEO and general manager of Ginn Racing, has 16 years of experience in the NASCAR industry. He spent 12 years with the Ginn, formerly MB2 Motorsports, team.

"Red Bull along with Toyota has all the necessary tools to compete at a very high level," Frye said in a news release. "I'm excited about the opportunity to work with an organization that has unlimited potential." Guenther Steiner, who joined the team in 2006 with extensive Formula One technical expertise, will continue to work as technical director and focus fully on delivering advanced engineering performance and technology.
