Environmentally friendly sports and performance vehicles take center stage at this year’s North American International Auto Show as automakers prove that you don’t have to drive a gas guzzler to step on the pedal. While manufactures are focusing on taking consumers close to 200 miles per hour, others are figuring out ways to make high horsepower a little more responsible. Two examples include the Corvette ZR-1. Built entirely of lightweight material, aluminum, magnesium, and carbon fiber, it has one of the best fuel economies in its class. The Cadillac CTS V is 550 Horsepower and 550 pound feet of torque.
