The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that Alain de Cadenet will be the Guest Speaker at its 15th annual Gala and award ceremony, which is being held concurrently with the Canadian International Auto Show on the evening of Saturday February 23rd, 2008, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto.
Alain de Cadenet, internationally recognized television program host, race car, driver, designer, team owner, as well as the co-producer and writer of the "Victory by Design" television series, will be the featured speaker at the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame induction gala.
In addition to his racing activities, his broadcasting career allowed him to drive some of the most famous racing cars in the sport's history. Famed as a raconteur, De Cadenet will, among many other tales born out of his experiences, share with attendees just how close he came to being hit by a Spitfire warplane in an astonishing video seen by millions on the Internet.
The gala ceremony and dinner, including a Silent Auction, will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Toronto located at 255 Front Queen Street West. Individual tickets are $220 each, and a table of 10 can be purchased for $2,200. Tickets may be purchased by calling 905-876-2454, or by visiting the CMHF website at www.cmhf.ca.
