Renault, Williams, run new cars at Valencia
(GMM) Williams and Renault got their 2008 contenders up and running at the Valencia circuit on Monday.
Williams' dark-liveried FW30 was the first to briefly appear, with test driver Nico Hulkenberg tip-toeing the Toyota-powered car around the Spanish circuit for a single installation lap before the fog was deemed too thick to continue.
Fernando Alonso steered Renault's new R28 into the pitlane at about midday, once conditions had improved.
The car features an unique front wing solution, including a low 'step' element reminiscent of Ferrari's design of 2005.
Williams later rejoined the circuit in the clearer conditions.
