Asmer hopes to decide future in February
British Formula 3 champion Marko Asmer returned to the wheel of the BMW Sauber F1 car on Tuesday for his third day of testing. The 23-year-old from Estonia seems to be the leading candidate to become BMW's third and reserve driver but for now he is still focused on getting used to driving a Formula 1 car.
"It is getting easier and easier each time," Asmer told GPUpdate.net after his day of testing in Valencia. "I'm getting more confident all the time and I am really enjoying. It's good that I now feel more comfortable in the car."
But even though BMW has given him two days of testing again this week Asmer is still uncertain about his future with the team. "There is nothing to say at the moment, everything is still open," he said. "I hope to announce my plans in February."
