Hamilton to use Alonso behavior as lesson

(GMM) Lewis Hamilton says he will use Fernando Alonso's behavior at McLaren last year as an example of how not to behave in formula one.

The 23-year-old Briton started his career alongside Alonso last year, before the double world champion and Spaniard became alienated from his colleagues and bosses.

Alonso, 26, has returned to Renault for 2008, but rookie Hamilton insists that his former teammate left few positive lessons behind.

"He showed me just how not to behave as an F1 driver," Hamilton, referring to Alonso, told the Associated Press at this week's Valencia test.

The AP report added that Hamilton said he hoped 'he would act more professionally than Alonso if put in the same situation as a reigning world champion working with a rookie teammate'.

Hamilton, who ended the 2007 season with the same points as his highly paid teammate, also suggested that he was proud to establish himself as Alonso's equal.

"He was (the leader) at the beginning, wasn't he, but it changed. Well, he thought he was at the beginning," Hamilton said.

"But I don't think that should be the case, we should be a team. It should be equal," he added.
