MC Racing to Return to the USTCC in 2008

MC Racing will again run in the United States Touring Car Championship in 2008 to build on last year’s rookie season in NASA’s premier professional road racing series. For many years the USTCC Series has attracted professional teams and factory-backed cars, making it one of the most exciting touring car series in the country.

For 2008, MC Racing will campaign the 2006 Mazda RX8 that made its debut in August 2007. Driver Michael McColligan will return to the cockpit where he scored two podiums in three USTCC starts. Prior to the USTCC, McColligan drove a Mazda RX7 in SCCA and NASA racing where he achieved several victories and many podiums in the highly competitive PRO 7 series.

Race preparation for the RX8 features tuning by Mazdatrix and Racing Beat, full Eibach coil-over suspension race-tuned by Yawpower, aero, body and suspension components from TC Sportline, Konig wheels, and Bell Racing Safety Gear. Additional preparation includes custom chassis, cage, and fabrication work by Hill Performance Solutions.
