Portraits of NASCAR Highlights NASCAR Personalities

NASCAR fans globally have unique and detailed knowledge about their favorite driver, crew chief or owner. Now they will have a chance to relate on a more personal level through the photographs captured in Portraits of NASCAR, a new book that captures a rare glimpse into the personal lives of these icons off the track.

Portraits of NASCAR, by Anita Rich and Robin Dallenbach from Triumph Books, is a look inside the lives of such NASCAR personalities as Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jimmie Johnson, Rusty Wallace and Richard Childress. The book allows fans to see the homes, families and hobbies of these and others away from the track through stunning black and white images.

Fans at Daytona International Speedway will have a chance to pick up their copy of Portraits of NASCAR on February 15 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Daytona 500 Experience Lobby and get autographs from the authors as well as the wives of selected NASCAR drivers and personalities. Betty Jane France, Lynda Helton, Judy Childress, Gail Davis, Arlene Martin, Nicole Biffle, DeLana Harvick will join the authors for the signing event.

Portraits of NASCAR is a licensed product of NASCAR and part of the NASCAR Library Collection which currently has more than 40 publishing partners with a collection of books for fans of all ages.

About the Authors:
Anita Rich was born in Devon, England, and has traveled around the world, living for extended periods in England, the Channel Islands, and the Caribbean. For the last 10 years, she has made her home in Charlotte, N.C., which has a rich racing tradition, a majority of team headquarters, and is the future home of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Anita is a longtime artist, painter, and photographer who has worked in many different styles. Her talent and gifted eye bring out the life and soul of her subjects. She is a perfectionist, dedicated and hardworking, unrelenting in obtaining the best quality in all of her work. She has been happily married for 23 years to her husband, Jody, and has two beautiful children, Ashley and John.

Robin Dallenbach has been in motorsports all of her life. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, she started racing Quarter Midgets at age eight and racing professionally at 14, eventually competing in two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in 1982. She has raced late-model stock cars on asphalt and dirt tracks and has competed in road races. She has worked as a precision driver in car commercials, as a driving instructor for driving events and new car introductions, and as a stunt double and stunt driver in several movies. Robin has been happily married for 23 years to commentator, driver, and media personality Wally Dallenbach Jr. They have three children, Jake, Wyatt, and Kate, who are all race car drivers in their own rights. They currently make their home in San Antonio, Texas.
