Marks wins pole for Daytona ARCA race
"The big thing for this race, just because I'm new over there at Germain Racing and I'm still getting to know all the guys, is an experience and an opportunity for me to get one more race under my belt," he said. "When we go [truck] racing next Friday, to have a race here in Daytona fresh in my memory would be an advantage.
"We're running the whole season with Germain and if we can get the funding together to do some more ARCA stuff, we'll definitely do that. I'd run as many as eight or 10 or 15 races if I could. We've got a good sponsor and we're committed to Rockingham as well in May."
Red Bull Racing development driver Scott Speed starts second with Bill Davis Racing development driver Michael Annett starting third.
NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Dario Franchitti and his Chip Ganassi Racing team will start ninth in the race, scheduled for Saturday at 4:15 p.m. EDT.
