Aguri receive double boost
The future looks a little brighter for Formula One minnows Super Aguri after they received a double helping of positive news on Saturday. The Japanese owned team has endured well publicized financial struggles, even going so far as to not participate in pre-season testing in an effort to save money.
However, marquee owner Aguri Suzuki has revealed talks are progressing well with several potential investors. We are holding talks with a few companies which have not been mentioned before," Suzuki revealed to the Tokyo Chunichi Sports Daily.
"There are many things that should be resolved. But they are all at levels that can be dealt with," Suzuki said.
"We never disappear. We'll be alright."
Coupled with news of possible investment, comes the more immediate boon of Aguri's 2008 challenger, The SA08, passing the FIA's mandatory crash tests.
"I can confirm that the SA08 monocoque was signed off for racing by the FIA yesterday," a spokeswoman told ITV. Setanta
