MRN Debuts “NASCAR Today Midday”

Motor Racing Network (MRN) Radio has responded to the demands of fans for more NASCAR news with today’s debut of ‘NASCAR TODAY Midday’ during Speedweeks from Daytona International Speedway. The program is two-minutes in length and will air Monday through Friday year-round during midday. The show will debut on 105 radio stations nationwide.

The program features Kyle Rickey, a veteran turn announcer for the network but a new voice to MRN’s NASCAR news reporting team. The popular and historic ‘NASCAR TODAY’ with Joe Moore will still air in afternoon drive time each day, with ‘NASCAR TODAY Midday’ providing fans breaking overnight news.

“These two programs will give double the coverage and inside information as only MRN can provide to fans and affiliates," said David Hyatt, president of MRN Radio. “Kyle has been a turn announcer with MRN for several years. He has a great passion for racing that our fans will respond to immediately."

MRN Radio, which has been broadcasting NASCAR events since 1970, is the primary source for NASCAR stock car racing and related radio programming. Their award-winning play-by-play coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series is delivered via satellite to over 700 radio stations nationwide.
