Tight Competition With New Car at Daytona

The tight competition up front continued during the Gatorade Duel at Daytona. There were 36 Green Flag Passes for the Lead during the first of the two 60-lap races, and 35 in the second race. That’s the second and third highest total since 2005. During last Saturday night’s Budweiser Shootout at Daytona, a total of 64 Green Flag Passes for the Lead took place. That was the highest number for that race since the inception of the stat in 2005.
