Alonso not so strong as last season – Raikkonen
World Champion Kimi Raikkonen believes that Fernando Alonso "is not so strong" as last season when he was driving for McLaren. During a press conference at Helsinki, Raikkonen said that he believes Ferrari and McLaren will be the teams to fight for the title.
Raikkonen: "Fernando is a good pilot, but his options depend on how good the Renault car has been developed. By his declarations, it seems that they lack speed."
Although the Finn is certain that Ferrari and McLaren will battle for the Championship title, he does not believe that this fight will be limited to a one-on-one between himself and Lewis Hamilton. Raikkonen said that teammate Felipe Massa and countryman Heikki Kovalainen will be battling in the front as well.
"I do not believe that the Championship fight is only mine and Hamilton's. Both teams have two single-seaters and two very fast pilots, so surely it will be a very tough fight."
